Stepfather of alleged shooter in Alcorn student killings arrested

A fourth person has been arrested in connection with a Claiborne County shooting that left two Alcorn State University students dead and two more wounded.

Derry Dunmore, 45, has been charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence. Dunmore is the stepfather of Jerrel Davis, who has been charged with two counts of murder in the case. Davis is being held on a $2 million bond.

James Carr, 22, of Itta Bena, Miss., and Tahir Fitzhugh, 19, of Pennsylvania, died after being shot at a bonfire south of Port Gibson on Feb. 17. Two other people were shot in the incident. Both were treated and released.

Vontavious Green and Carlton Hall were arrested previously for accessory after the fact in this case and are being held on bonds of $200,000 each.
