Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch took to social media Friday to warn the public of potential pandemic relief package scams.

Fitch said that the scams are targeting Mississippians with text messages claiming to offer “$1,400 per day for Coronavirus Relief” with a suspicious link.

Fitch advised against clicking links you do not recognize or that are not from a trusted source.

Her post also reminds us that the IRS will not ask for your personal information in exchange for relief benefits.  For accurate information, track your stimulus on the IRS website.
