Storehouse Community Food Pantry to re-open May 4
The Storehouse Community Food Pantry announced in an email Thursday that it will re-open on Monday, May 4.
The pantry has been closed since April 8 because of concerns about the COVID-19 coronavirus.
“We know that many residents of Warren County need assistance obtaining sufficient food for themselves and their families now more than ever so that the decision has been made that the Food Pantry will reopen on Monday, May 4,” wrote Bill Mounger, president. “We will continue serving our clients by drive-thru in their cars so that no one is allowed inside other than our volunteers. When we reopen we will be taking additional safeguards to reduce the number of volunteers in the Food Pantry at any one time. We will continue to serve the community as long as we have the number of volunteers necessary to operate and as long as we feel we can keep everyone safe.
“As before our operating hours will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays. We appreciate the support of the Community that allows us to be of service.
“Thank you for what you do to support the Food Pantry. If you have any questions please let me know.”
