A single-family structure fire was reported at 3:48 p.m. in the 100 block of Vann Drive.
Early reports indicated someone may still be within the structure, however, everyone was evacuated by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.

The first firefighter on the scene, Lee Williams, reported flames were coming through the roof. Shortly thereafter the power line burned through leaving a hot electrical wire on the ground, complicating the effort to extinguish the fire.
Engine 305, Engine 205, Engine 302, Tanker 209 along with a bevy of Deputies and a fire medic unit were all deployed to the scene.
Engine 305 was the primary pumper on scene and 3 hand lines were deployed. Two interior teams consisting of Lee Williams, Hunter Ivey, Jonah Masterson and Micheal Baker made entry and contained the damage to the kitchen. The 3rd line was used for exterior operations, operated by Cedric Martin.

The home has water, smoke and fire damage. No one was injured and all firefighters, medics and deputies returned from the fire safely.
