Students at Beechwood Elementary evacuated after smoke alarm

Students at Beechwood Elementary were evacuated Wednesday morning due to a smoke alarm.

Just after 8:30 a.m., a smoke alarm call was reported at Beechwood Elementary. Early reports indicated the smell of smoke.

Initial investigations indicate a furnace unit on top of the building may have been the cause.

Students were evacuated per procedure. No one was injured.
