An observant resident of the Eagle Lake area reported around noon Thursday that a vehicle had left the Brunswick Levee, also called the Levee Maintenance Road, and was in the water near the lake.

The red Mitsubishi SUV was almost completely submerged when Eagle Lake firefighters and other Warren County emergency personnel arrived on the scene.

Eagle Lake Fire Chief Chris Libby went into the water to quickly determine that no one was in the vehicle. One window was rolled down. There do no seem to be any injuries associated with this incident.

Ward’s Wrecker Service was called to pull the vehicle out of the water.

Authorities were attempting to contact the owner of the vehicle to ensure. He has been determined to be a middle-aged male who lives nearby. He is safe.
