Suspect arrested on Monday for Dec. 1 armed carjacking

Rashad Mobley, 17, of Vicksburg, was arrested on Monday in connection with a carjacking incident which occurred Dec. 1.

Around 12:45 a.m. on Dec. 1, Vicksburg Police Department was alerted a report of a car jacking on Lake Hill Drive.

According to initial reports, the suspect was armed and stole the victim’s 2018 black Chevy Malibu which was later recovered a few streets over.

Mobley appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter on Monday, charged with armed carjacking. He was given a $100,000 bond and bound over the the Grand Jury.
