Suspect charged with murder after returning to retrieve cell phone left at the crime scene
A suspect was apprehended and charged with murder after returning to retrieve a cell phone left at a crime scene in Jackson Thursday morning, WLBT reports.
Around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, a shooting occurred near Capital Street and Clifton Street in Jackson. The unnamed victim was shot in the face and died at the scene.
Jackson Police Department was examining a cell phone found at the scene when they say that Tyrunte Spann returned to retrieve the device.
Spann was taken into custody and charged with murder after being transported to the police headquarters and interviewed.
JPD is currently investigating the incident.
