Suspect denied bond for shooting death of Bryant Eggleston

On Tuesday, the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement regarding a recent incident involving a shooting that led to the death of 29-year-old Bryant Eggleston.
Statement:
On June 18, 2023, deputies responded to reports of shots fired in Pattison. Ms. Dispatch advised that a victim with a gunshot wound had been transported to the Claiborne County Medical Center by a private vehicle. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the victim, 29-year-old Bryant Eggleston, had succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect was quickly identified as 34-year-old Antonio Nicholas. Surveillance footage showed Antonio Nicholas arriving in a blue Chevy Tahoe and firing at least two rounds at Bryant Eggleston, who was seated on the passenger side of a blue Nissan Maxima near the gas pump in front of Pattison Mini Mart.
Nicholas has been charged with First Degree Murder and Convicted Felon with a Firearm. Today, Nicholas had his initial appearance, and his bond was denied. This case has been bound over to the next Grand Jury.
The department also released a video of Nicholass being escorted for his court appearance.
