Suspect identified in Tuesday’s county truck theft
The suspect taken into custody for stealing a Warren County work truck has been identified as Kyle Marshall Hall, 27, of Warren County.
At around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Warren County authorities received a call of a suspicious individual observed walking in and out of driveways near Gowall Road. About 15-minutes after the initial call, a worker on Gowall Road reported a white male jumped into a county work truck and drove away.
The suspect, Hall, proceeded to drive westbound toward Highway 61. Moments later, a citizen alerted the city that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed on Washington Street near the Waltersville area. Authorities were alerted the truck was involved in a minor incident on Interstate 20 shortly after. The incident occurred as it entered Interstate 20, westbound, at the Washington Street ramp.
Warren County alerted Madison Parish and the Delta Marshal’s Office of the stolen vehicle. Within minutes Madison Parish was in pursuit of the vehicle on Highway 80 between Mound and Tallulah. Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace stated speeds reached nearly 100 mph.
Units with Madison Parish were able to take Hall into custody just outside of the Tallulah city limits.
Hall is currently in the Madison Parish Jail in Tallulah. He is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, flight from officers and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A detainer has been placed on him by Warren County and the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Hall will return to Warren County to face auto theft charges after his release from Madison Parish. Hall is currently on probation for manslaughter.
