Suspect in custody for overnight shooting in Claiborne County

Fredarious Claiborne, who was wanted in connection with a shooting that took place at a convenience store on Highway 18 overnight, has turned himself in to authorities.

Claiborne is charged with aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling.  One person was injured in the shooting, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected in connection to this incident.
