Suspect on the run after assaulting police

VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News)–A suspect is on the run after overcoming officers and taking a tazer.

Around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, police attempted to stop a suspect at Lake Hill Drive and Buena Vista Drive in connection to a domestic incident that occurred earlier.

The suspect charged an officer and was able to disarm a tazer from him and taze a second officer that was attempting to assist.

Officers could only place one cuff on the suspect before he managed to get away.

As of this reporting, medics are on scene assisting the tazed officer.
