Suspected shooter and his father turn themselves in to police

Two suspects wanted in connection to a Vicksburg shooting on Saturday have turned themselves in to police.
Sheridan Bell, wanted for aggravated assault in the incident, and his father, Keith Neal, wanted for hindering prosecution related to Saturday’s shooting, turned themselves in to the Vicksburg Police Department at around 7 a.m. Sunday morning, according to Police Chief Milton Moore.
The Vicksburg Police Department was notified that a gunshot victim had arrived at the Merit Health River Region Emergency Room via private vehicle on Saturday, April 4, at 1:50 p.m.
The victim, a 20-year-old male, was suffering wounds to his right arm and torso, and was later airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment. His condition is not known.
Chief Moore said the shooting occurred at the intersection of Fairground and Pearl streets at around 1:40 p.m. Saturday.
