Sweet baby Mango needs a forever family

VICKSBURG, MS – Mango is a precious, 8 week old, orange kitten. She was orphaned and rescued when she was still too tiny to eat on her own. Amanda Matthews has been fostering her and now needs help finding Mango a forever family.

Matthews says that Mango does well with other animals, and is also already litter trained. Her personality is described as a good mix of sassy and sweet. If Mango’s big blue eyes don’t win you over, her playful spirit surely will.

“I just want her to live out a happy life with a ‘furever’ family,” said Matthews.

Mango is currently sponsored by PAWS Rescue. Anyone who wants to adopt her can fill out an application at PetSense, 3405 Pemberton Square Blvd.

Matthews has a lot of experience in rescuing baby kittens. She aims to care for kittens until they are strong and healthy enough to eventually be adopted.

“I saw an SOS post on Facebook circulating asking for someone that bottle feeds kittens… so I jumped at it,” said Matthews.

There are always animals in need of foster homes in Vicksburg. To become a foster parent of a dog, cat, puppy or kitten, contact the local animal shelter and ask how you can offer a temporary home to a pet in need. The City of Vicksburg Animal Shelter is located at 100 Old Mill Road and they are open from Monday to Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
