Sylvia Nations Kalous, 1938 – 2022

Sylvia Nations Kalous passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022. She was 83 years old.

Sylvia grew up in Vicksburg, MS and had lived in Edwards, MS for the past 23 years. She graduated from Warren Central High School in Vicksburg.

She is preceded in death by her parents A.J. Nations and Mary Cutrer Nations, husband Charles Kalous, siblings Ralph Nations, Beatrice Burton, Chris Thompson, Margie Holmes, Evelyn Harris, and Minyon Callum.

She is survived by a son Allen Johnson, daughter Barbara Thomas, brother Francis Nations, grandchildren Amanda Foreman, and Titus Thomas, and great-grandchild Lincoln Foreman.

Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2022, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M. at Raymond Cemetery in Raymond, MS with Rev. Roger Creswell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Scottie Thomas, Allen Johnson, Francis Nations, Amanda Foreman and Phillip Grantham.
