Tallulah Academy crushed Providence 24-6 on Monday

The Tallulah Academy softball team destroyed Providence 24-6 on Monday.

The Lady Trojans grabbed 11 runs in the first inning, starting with a triple by Emily Fortenberry. She finished with four RBIs on the night.

Tallulah Academy got another nine runs in the second and never let up on Providence.

Ginny Hargrave led with five RBIs and went 2 for 2 at the plate. She also threw a no-hitter and struck out six batters.

Carrie Miller, Fortenberry and Jessica Bullock each went 2 for 3 at the plate. Fortenberry and Bullock had three RBIs, Miller and Paige Toney had two and Riley Cooper and Toney each had one hit.

Tallulah Academy will host Claiborne Academy on Thursday.
