The federal and Mississippi deadline to file your 2019 income taxes is Wednesday, July 15.

The federal deadline for tax filing, usually April 15, was extended March 21 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mississippi followed suit May 5.

Extensions for filing taxes is available until Oct. 15; however, the extension is only for filing, not for paying any taxes due. Any amounts due must be paid July 15.
