Taylon Smith knocked down the the game winning 3-pointer for Mississippi College

Former Vicksburg High School basketball player Taylon Smith hit the game winning 3-pointer for Mississippi College on Thursday.

MC was trailing 61-60 late in the game until Smith knocked down the big three to give the Choctaws a 63-61 win over Montevallo.

Smith is a freshman for MC and was the Vicksburg Daily News 2021 Boy’s Basketball Player of the Year.
