Two former Vicksburg High football players will make their way back to Mississippi Friday with their new team to face Madison-Ridgeland Academy.

Cousins Shardez Taylor and Marvin Martin Jr., who both played for VHS last season, are now starting for Trinity Christian School in Texas. Both players moved to Texas with relatives in June.

They now play for the defending state championship team, coached by former NFL star Deion Sanders. Martin and Taylor have become major college football prospects over the years after playing under former VHS coach Tim Hughes.

The game will be held at Madison-Ridgeland High School at 7 p.m.
