Thank you for making 2021 our biggest year ever

2021 was a great year for the Vicksburg Daily News and it’s all because you, the readers, who have been so supportive of locally owned journalism.

You trust the Vicksburg Daily News to give you the whole story regardless of who is involved. We don’t play favorites and work for you, the people of Warren County. We’re Vicksburg’s only locally owned news source and we put the news above revenue streams and social connections.

The Vicksburg Daily News in 2021 had two of its most-read stories ever. Keith “The King” Phillips continues to dominate the local sports scene. His stories get millions of impressions and he consistently delivers the sports stories that you, the reader, want to see. Editor Joey Fogas penned the most-read story of the year about a film Hollywood was trying to do that painted an ugly picture of Mississippi.

Karen Gamble joined the Vicksburg Daily News team and you’ve probably noticed the measurable improvements. Karen brings more to the news table than anyone in Vicksburg. Her family has been in Vicksburg for generations and Karen’s knowledge of Vicksburg and Warren County is unsurpassed.

Marcus James’s considerable talent has been a huge addition to the Vicksburg Daily News team and the nightly news brief is the perfect news delivery source for the modern news consumer.

The news business has fundamentally changed in the past 10 years. What your grandparents accepted as news is now called past history. With the whole world at your fingertips, the Vicksburg Daily News is the most read news source for local news. In Vicksburg, you’ll have no better partner to get your message to the people than the Vicksburg Daily News.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to doing even more for you in 2022.
