The 33rd annual Over the River run happens Saturday

The 33rd annual Over the River run will take place on Oct. 9 at 8 a.m. The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation along with sponsors and volunteers present this special community event.

The 5-mile running and walking race follows a scenic course heading west across the Mississippi River to Delta, Louisiana, and then returns to the finish line.

No headphones, rollerblades, strollers, bicycles or animals are allowed on the course. Parking can be found at Ameristar Hotel or Casino.
