With legalized sports betting giving a better idea of how much is wagered on the big game Sunday, it is estimated that Americans will wager roughly $4.3 billion on various aspects of the game.

“This year’s Super Bowl is expected to generate the largest single-event legal handle in American sports betting history,” said AGA President and CEO Bill Miller in a press release. “With a robust legal market, Americans are abandoning illegal bookies and taking their action into the regulated marketplace in record numbers.”

The current betting line is Kansas City -3. For betting novices, that means if you take the Chiefs, they must win by 4 for you to win. You can also bet on numerous other factors in the game.

The Super Bowl, or “The Big Game,” is annually one of the biggest betting days of the year, so naturally Houston-based mattress store owner Jim McIngvale, also known as “Mattress Mack,” is getting in on the action. McIngvale has placed a $3.46 million bet on the Buccaneers at +3.5 points on the DraftKings mobile app.

You can place legal wagers at all Vicksburg area casinos. Action is expected to be brisk heading up to Sunday’s late afternoon kickoff.
