The Swamp 2.0: VHS renovations completed
Thrash Commercial Contractors, Inc. announced last week that additions and renovations at Vicksburg High School have been fully completed.
An $83 million bond referendum was approved by Warren County voters in March of 2018 to help finance renovations across the entire Vicksburg Warren School District. The scope of the work is massive, including electrical renovations, reroofing, cafeteria improvements, paving and drainage improvements, windows, ceilings, and floors.
In addition to renovating, new construction was also built to add classrooms, more restrooms and common areas, a media center, career academies and major athletic improvements.
Prior to 2018, the district had not had a bond issue since 1969.
Designed by Dale Bailey Architects, this investment will help ensure our children get the safe, quality education that they deserve.
