The Vicksburg Daily News All-County Defensive Team

The Vicksburg Daily News All-County defensive team members were selected by the player’s coaches for their great performances on the gridiron this season.

Each high school in the county — Porter’s Chapel Academy, St. Aloysius High School, Vicksburg High School and Warren Central High School  —put five individual players on the team.

All-County Defensive Team

Porter’s Chapel Academy Eagles

1. Brayson Morson– 71 tackles, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

2. Braden Kapp– 65 tackles and three interceptions.

3. Ricky Carraway– 52 tackles

4. Tyler Washington– 56 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

5. Gage Ashley– 64 tackles, one sack, one interception, six forced fumbles one fumble recovery.

St. Aloysius Flashes

1. Wes Warnock– 44 tackles, four interceptions, four pass deflections and one forced fumble.

2. Brennon Williams- 40 tackles, three interceptions and five pass deflections.

3. Ben Raines– 25 tackles and three tackles for loss.

4. Chase Tucker– 48 tackles, three fumble recoveries and three sacks.

5. Adam Francisco– 47 tackles, two forced fumbles, three sacks and one interception.

Vicksburg High School Gators

1. Tommy Curtis III– 103 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and two sacks.

2. Demarcus Johnson – 39 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

3. Caleb Bryant– 46 tackles, nine sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

4. Demarion Robinson– 44 tackles and five sacks.

5. Roy Qualls– 46 tackles, four sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

Warren Central High School Vikings

1. Taylen Smith– 53 tackles, eight sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

2. Tevin Bell– 17 tackles, five interceptions and two tackles for loss.

3. Jaylin Thompson- 51 tackles, three tackles for loss and one forced fumble.

4. Laurence Madison– 30 tackles and one sack.

5. Floyd Davenport– 67 tackles, one tackle for loss and 44 solo tackles.
