Thomas Lurk, 1940 – 2020

Tom was born in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, and was 80 years old.

Tom was married to Shirley (Nevois) Lurk for 60 years. They are survived by four children, Duane Lurk (Carla), Dean Lurk, Tammy Bost (Danny) and Danny Lurk (Emily). He was also survived by sisters Alousie Wiegard (Bill) and Mary Drag (Clem); brothers Charlie Lurk (Roberta), Joe Lurk (Pat), John Lurk, (Linda) and Bill Lurk. The grandchildren include Kelsey Bost, Wesley Bost, Kristen Bost, Caroline Bost, Tyler Bost, Josh Lurk, Ryan Lurk, Jacob Lurk, Lauren Lurk Powell, Danielle Lurk and Cory Lurk.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Tom W. Lurk and Lenora Lurk (Klein); Cory Lurk and Tyler Bost.

Tom has been a Claiborne County resident since 1967 and was a well-known farmer with Valley of the Moon farm and mechanic with the Claiborne County road department.

Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Gibson.

Tom enjoyed fishing and deer hunting.

A private service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Gibson on Tuesday, July 7, at 11 a.m. with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Port Gibson at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 411 Coffee Street, Port Gibson, MS 39150.
