Threat received on River City Early College. VWSD says the threat was unfounded.

The Vicksburg-Warren School District was alerted to a threat by E-911 earlier on Thursday.

According to a statement released by the district, E-911 contacted VWSD to report a call received indicating a threat on River City Early College High School Campus.

VWSD stated the call was determined to be unfounded.

“The VWSD takes the safety of its staff, students, and visitors very seriously. Safety protocols were followed and the threat proved to be unfounded.” the district said in a statement. “We appreciate the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, E-911, Hinds Community College and all who partner with us to keep our campuses safe every day.”
