Three arrested after “free car” story determined to be fake

Investigators have made three arrests in connection with the body discovered in the truck of a car in Copiah County last week.
Joshua Hankins, 21, Kelly King, 21, and Jordan Thompson, 24, have each been taken into custody after investigators determined that the claims of a “free car” sign posted on the vehicle in which the body of Anthony McCrillis was found were false.
Hankins has been charged with auto theft, possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, and tampering with physical evidence. King has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, conspiracy to commit a crime, and hindering prosecution/rendering criminal assistance. Thompson has been charged with auto theft and tampering with physical evidence.
