Three arrested in Warren County in sex trafficking case involving minor

Three have been arrested in Warren County and charged in a sex trafficking case involving a minor.
The case was first brought to the attention of Lt. Stacy Rollinson of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office in the week of April 10th when child protective services contacted her regarding a sex crime investigation.
According to the social services worker, a child was being trafficked with the help of an adult female identified as Frances Dawson, aged 39, of Jackson. Dawson was arrested on May 1st at the offices of Child Protective Services by Sheriff’s Detectives and charged with two counts of procuring sexual servitude of a minor. She was given a $50,000 bond by Judge Randy Lewis.

As the investigation continued, two other adult males were identified as being involved in the case. Benny Cosby, aged 72, of Warren County was arrested on May 5th at 10:30 a.m. and charged with two counts of sexual battery of a child under 14. Another individual, Hyman Cosby, aged 67, of Vicksburg, was arrested on May 10th at around 9 a.m. by Sgt. Cordell Watkins and other deputies. Both were given a bond of $500,000 each by Justice Court Judge James Jefferson.
Due to the sensitive nature of the case, Sheriff Pace has declined to provide any further details about the ongoing investigation.
