Three Jones Community College softball players Tyesha Cole, Kristian Edwards and Mycah Hall signed to play for Alcorn State University.
All three athletes had impressive stats for the Bobcats as they finished with 47-9 record.
Hall had a .320 batting average, 24 RBIs, and 34 run scores this season. She also had 19 stolen bases.
Edwards had an impressive .417 batting average with 23 home runs. She also stole 55 bases and scored 53 runs on the year as she made the NJCAA DII All-Tournament Team, All-MACCC First Team and was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American Second Team.
Cole finished with 16 home runs and had a .434 batting average. She dominated all season at the plate as she racked up 65 RBIs with 16 home runs and was also a NFCA All-American Second Team player.
The three Bobcats will be a huge asset to the Lady Braves next season, who went deep into the SWAC Tournament in 2021.See a typo? Report it here.
