Three sets of sisters continue to light up the softball field for the Missy Gators
Vicksburg High School softball team are keeping things more family oriented as they currently built with three sets of sisters whose names are mentioned frequently.
VanNorman, Kistler and Grace are all notable last names on the Missy Gators softball team. Each have put in much work to fight for the upcoming district championship.
The VanNorman family consist of Avery and Charli. Each built up a reputation on the field as young athletes who does what it takes to get the job done. Charli is a junior and Avery is the freshman catcher on the team.
The Kistler duo are Lexi (VDN 2021 softball player of the year) and Lili. Each take turns on the rubber and continue to strikeout batters each match. Lexi is the eldest of the two, playing in her junior year. Lili is in her freshman season.
JaMia and Jordan Grace are the youngest in the clan who both take turns at first and second base. They have notably been a huge part of the Missy Gators success. JaMia is a freshman and Jordan is making a impact as a eighth-grader on the squad.
All three families have a athletic history with each other dating back to when they were in elementary. For instance, Avery, JaMia and Jordan all played on the same YMCA team in 2019 where they went 8-0.
The Missy Gators will play again on Tuesday when they travel to Madison Central and again on Thursday when they travel to face Jim Hill in the district championship.
