Tiara Watson located by Warren County deputy, alive and safe

Tiara Watson, the missing woman from Texas, has been found, alive and safe, after a day of searching by multiple agencies.

At 8:23 a.m.,Thursday, a homeowner, Wesley Storz, noticed an abandoned vehicle which was left running and called 911 to alert authorities. Area law enforcement confirmed that the vehicle, a black Toyota, arrived at 8:03 a.m.,Thursday, parked and was left running.

A search of the vehicle revealed a phone number which connected authorities to Watson’s sister. She stated that Watson was not supposed to be in the state of Louisiana.
Cameras in the area showed Watson exiting the vehicle and walking away from it. Authorities gathered camera footage from the area and was able to piece together a path she took. She made her way to the levee that surrounds the Delta and eventually walked into a wooded area but never walked out.
Law enforcement with the Madison Parish Sheriff, Louisiana State Police and Delta Marshals began searching the area. Law enforcement from Texas and Warren County were also aiding in the search.
Watson was located about 100 yards north of the old Highway 80 bridge on the Louisiana side by Warren County Sheriff Deputy Sam Winchester.
Marshals stated the effort couldn’t have been as successful without the aid of surrounding agencies.
