This morning, Monday, Sept. 30, at 4:30 a.m., a Warren County deputy observed two vehicles on U.S. Hwy. 61 North near Culkin Road who appeared to be involved in a disturbance of some kind.

When the deputy approached one of the vehicles, a male got out and the vehicle left the scene. The deputy gave pursuit and attempted the pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to yield.  The pursuit lasted for almost thirty minutes with the driver leading Sheriff’s Deputies all over town. The vehicle never exceeding 45 mph, based on radio traffic of the event.

The vehicle finally stopped near the intersection of Halls Ferry and Pemberton. When the vehicle finally yielded, deputies found Jaime McGuffie Tidwell, 43, inside.

Tidwell was out on bond awaiting trial on an Aug. 28 charge of possession a controlled substance. She and Brandon Harper were arrested by Deputy Billy Jo Heggins.

Tidwell now faces additional charges of felony eluding and additional charges of being in possession of a controlled substance. She is currently in the Warren County Jail with a $15,000 bond.
