Timothy Borderlon arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault for the beating of Cameron Evans
Timothy D. Borderlon, 41, has been arrested and charged with a felony, aggravated assault, in the videotaped beating of Cameron Evans on June 4, 2022.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace reports, “Just after 11 p.m. on June 4, Vicksburg 911 received a report of an assault that had taken place on Newman Road in Warren County. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators began an investigation at that time. Since then, we have had reports from other individuals in the incident and the incident that may or may not have led up to this assault.”
Pace continued, “We received reports on the 5th and the 6th (of June). We’ve actually received multiple reports from different parties. With the information that we’ve gathered thus far, including medical records, this information was presented to the District Attorney’s office and a charge of aggravated assault was lodged against Timothy D. Borderlon, 41, who lists a Warren County address. The investigation is continuing as investigators continue to gather information, all of which will be also presented to the District Attorney’s office. If the District Attorney feels that other charges against other parties are warranted then we will act upon those charges.”
Borderlon turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Department with his attorney at 9:45 a.m. Friday morning. Borderlon went before Judge James Jefferson who set bond at $5,000. The charge is returnable to the August term of the Grand Jury. At the time of this report, Borderlon was preparing to bond out.
The Sheriff advises that the investigation is ongoing and that more arrests may or may not occur.
