Earlier, the Vicksburg National Military Park announced a warning to those in the area of an aggressive coyote that was seen within the park’s south loop.

We have received word from Kacie Tingle Lindsey, who is in charge of the animal shelter, that they have hired someone to trap the pack. Cameras have been set up and trappings should begin sometime this week.

We will keep you updated with any changes in activity.

If anyone sees coyote activity, call 601-738-2999.
