Trooper injured in Rankin County accident

A Mississippi Highway Patrolman was injured in an accident on Highway 18 in Rankin County Sunday evening.

The cruiser rolled over, coming to rest in a ditch near the 4600 block of Highway 18.  The trooper was transported via ambulance, and the extent of his injuries are unknown.  Officials on the scene told Darkhorse Press that the trooper is expected to recover.
