Two arrested and charged in May 12 Claiborne County shooting


Two have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault relating to a shooting in Claiborne County on May 12.
At around 3 p.m. on May 12, Claiborne County deputies were dispatched to 1120 Highway 61 North (the fairgrounds) in reference to shots fired.
The 911 caller stated one subject was shot and taken to Claiborne County Hospital via personal vehicle.
Within hours, Sheriff Edward Goods and deputies located and arrested Jamarcus Hamlin and Tyrese Craft. Each have been charged with aggravated assault.
Additional arrests are pending. The case is still under investigation. The victim’s name was not released.
