Two Arrested at Snack Shack for Drugs

Vicksburg Police Department Lt. Johnny Edwards reports that on Friday, June 28, 2019, around 3:50 p.m., Vicksburg Police arrested Ricardo Montrel Neal, 36, of 2630 Roosevelt Street. The arrest occurred at The Snack Shack, 2510 1/2 Halls Ferry Road, his place of business. Police investigators had received numerous complaints of drug activity there.

Neal was charged with two counts of the sale of cocaine 1,500 feet from a church. After a search warrant was issued, an officer recovered approximately 1 ounce of cocaine inside the business. Neal was also charged with possession of cocaine. He appeared today, July 1, 2019, in the Vicksburg Municipal Court before Judge Angela Carpenter who set his bond at $130,000.

Also arrested at The Snack Shack was Johnny Thomas, 34, of 2801 Valley Street. He was in possession of cocaine. Thomas also appeared before Judge Carpenter who set his bond at $30,000.

Both suspects were transported to Warren County Jail pending the next grand jury.
