Two auto burglaries Thursday involved the theft of firearms

Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded to two auto burglary calls Thursday, both of which involved the theft of firearms.

At 3:14 p.m., officers responded to an address in the 1800 block of Edna Drive where the vehicle owner reported someone entered his 2020 Ford F-150 and stole two rifles.

At 3:37 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 1800 block of Eisenhower Drive where the victim stated someone went into his 2015 Ford F-150 and stole a .22-caliber handgun from the glove compartment along with his wallet containing $80.
