Two auto thefts and an auto burglary in Vicksburg since Sunday

The Vicksburg Police Department reported two auto thefts and an auto burglary for Sunday, Sept. 13, and Monday, Sept. 14.

Sunday at 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the Carr Central Apartments, 1805 Cherry St., in reference to an auto theft. The victim reported someone stole her 1996 Acura 2.5 TL.

Monday at 7:19 a.m., officers responded to an address on Lake Hill Drive in reference to an auto theft. The victim stated someone stole his 2006 GMC Sierra. The vehicle was later recovered and returned.

Monday at 4:24 p.m., a report was taken at the police department regarding an auto burglary that had previously occurred on Eastover Drive. According to the victim, someone went into his 2017 Audi A4 and stole his Smith & Wesson Model 629 revolver.
