Two Bowmar students battle for the conference championship tonight

Two fourth graders from Bowmar Elementary will face off Monday night playing for the South Conference Championship Title.
Nicholas Lee and Deonta Selvy Jr. play for different teams that are both fighting for the No. 1 spot.
Lee plays for the Nets who have a 7-1 record and have been on a seven-game winning streak since losing their first game of the season to the North Division champions Golden Eagles.
Selvy plays for the SuperFlyers where he is the lead scorer for his team that has an 8-0 record. The SuperFlyers are looking forward to ending the regular season with a perfect record.
Selvy is coached by his father Deonta Selvy Sr. while Lee is coached by his grandfather, Dr. Martin Chaney.
This game will not be the first time Lee and Selvy battled each other. Last year they both played quarterback for separate teams in flag football where Lee came out on top leading his team to a 18-14 victory.
The championship game will take place at the Vicksburg YMCA on Monday at 6:15 p.m. on court 2.
