Two charged in Leticia Street shooting

Chadderick Ross, 24, and Makayla Harris, 22, will be held without bond until they appear in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Monday, May 24, charged in the shooting of Nicholas Murray, 21, Friday evening.

Murray has been airlifted to UMMC with a gunshot wound in his torso and another in his left arm.  No additional information regarding his condition is available at this time.

Harris made headlines two weeks ago when she was arrested for intent to distribute and possession of marijuana on May 6.

Witnesses at the scene of the shooting identified the vehicle as a black Nissan with a Jefferson County tag, and Vicksburg Police were able to locate the suspects within an hour.
