Two dead in overnight trailer fire

An overnight trailer fire in Sharkey County took the lives of two people early Tuesday.

Just before 6 a.m., Sharkey County firefighters responded to a structure fire in the north part of Cary, Mississippi. Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the blaze with a fire extinguisher.

Upon inspecting the trailer, two people were found deceased, the apparent victims of smoke inhalation.

The fire and deaths are under investigation and the Vicksburg Daily News will update the story as more information is made available.
