Two men were apprehended on Halls Ferry road just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday after wrecking a stolen vehicle.

An officer first made contact with the vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, as it was sitting in the middle of the Clay Street and Walnut Street intersection.

As the officer approached the car, it began to flee, heading south towards I-20. The vehicle refused to stop as it tried to get onto the I-20 eastbound on-ramp.  It then struck a curb and came to a stop.

Three fled from the vehicle and two were apprehended. The third suspect is still at large as of this reporting.

The vehicle was reported stolen from Jackson. Officers found and recovered a 9mm Taurus handgun from the vehicle.

Patrick Keyes, 19 of Jackson and Lamario Hicks, 19 of Pearl, were both arrested and face a charge of receiving stolen property.

Both parties appeared before Judge Penny Lawson on Wednesday and both received a $15,000 bond.  Each are bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
