Two arrested for separate domestic violence cases

Two Vicksburg residents are in custody and charged with felony domestic violence in two separate cases.
Gromyko Magee, 18, was arrested on Tuesday following an alleged assault on his girlfriend.
Magee appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Wednesday and was given a $75,000 bond.
Kenneth Jackson, Jr., 24, was arrested on Wednesday following an alleged assault on his girlfriend.
Jackson also appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Wednesday and was given a $20,000 bond.
A word on domestic violence:
In September 2022, Mayor George Flaggs, Jr. designated the month of October as “Domestic Violence Awareness Month.” In Vicksburg, MS, crime rates have been decreasing in various categories. However, one category of crime has seen an increase- domestic violence.
