Two perfect strangers reunite for Thanksgiving tradition for sixth year

Two strangers that met in 2016 have created a Thanksgiving tradition that the two still practice today.

In 2016 Wanda Dench accidentally texted Jamal Hinton an invitation to Thanksgiving dinner. Dench thought she was texting her grandson, but didn’t realize the phone number had changed.

After realizing the mistake, the two exchanged photos. Hinton asked Dench if he was still invited to Thanksgiving at her home in Mesa, Arizona. Dench told Hinton feeding everyone is what grandmothers do and left the invitation open to him.

The two have now come together for six years in a row. The tradition has been documented by Hinton each year on social media.
