Two-vehicle accident on Highway 27 snarling traffic

A two-vehicle accident in Warren County on state Highway 27 in front of River City Early College has traffic slowed in the area.

Warren County Chief Deputy Sheriff Billy Joe Heggins drove up on the accident scene shortly after it occurred at around 9:25 a.m.

People have been injured in the accident; however, they do not appear to be serious injuries. One person is being transported to the hospital.

Please use caution in the area and find an alternate route if possible.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating. Rescue, Fire Medic 40, two Mississippi troopers along with DeWayne Sims, chief school resource officer are all on scene.
