Vicksburg police officers made two arrests for a stolen handgun during a routine traffic stop Friday.

At 9:44 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, officers stopped a silver 2007 Nissan Altima on Indiana Avenue for driving without headlights. When an officer approached, he saw a MAC-11 handgun and an AK-47 rifle on the rear floorboard. The MAC-11 had been reported stolen and both men in the vehicle were arrested for possession of a stolen firearm.

Cordell Flowers, 20, and Tyrese Craft, 20, both of Vicksburg, appeared before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court Saturday, Oct. 10. Both received $15,000 bonds and were bound over to the Warren County grand jury.
