Two Vicksburg men face aggravated assault charges

Deaunte Lewis and Rosman Daniels, Jr. are both facing aggravated assault charges from separate incidents.

Lewis was arrested on Thursday on a warrant for aggravated assault.

Lewis was taken into custody at the Vicksburg Police Department for an incident which occurred on National Street on June 19. A warrant for aggravated assault was issued for Lewis as a result.

He made his appearance before Judge Angela Carpenter on Friday and received a $70,000 bond.  He was then bound to the Warren County Grand Jury.

On Monday, around 2:40 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance call to a residence on Lakehill Drive.

Upon arriving at the scene, the victim reported Daniels fired a handgun at her after getting angry. Investigations revealed a bullet hole in the front door and a 9mm shell in the kitchen.

Daniels was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.

He appeared before Judge Penny Lawson on Monday where he received a bond of $125,000 and was bound to the Warren County Grand Jury.
