Two Vicksburg residents given bond during initial court appearance

Two Vicksburg residents appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday and were given bond.

At 4:12 p.m. on Tuesday, Vicksburg resident Carl Williams, 68, was stopped on Mission 66 near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Williams was found in possession of .56 grams of cocaine. Vicksburg Police Department Narcotics Division took him into custody and charged him with possession of a controlled substance.

Williams was given a $35,000 bond and bound to the Warren County Grand Jury.

Jimmy Lyons, 37, was seen on a charge of auto burglary relating to the theft from a vehicle at Labor Finders which occurred on Monday.

Lyons was given a $50,000 bond by Judge Carpenter and bound to the Warren County Grand Jury.
