Tyler Henderson has demonstrated his prowess on the football field, with his recent performances propelling Vicksburg High School to victories.

Henderson, a senior wide receiver, has contributed to the Gators’ three consecutive wins, leading the team in receiving. So far, he has accumulated 15 receptions, 428 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns.

“I’ve been getting more opportunities to get the ball in my hand this year because of the different style offense,” Henderson said.

A couple of weeks ago, Henderson had an outstanding game, catching four touchdowns for 180 yards against Natchez. After that performance, the sports world became familiar with the name “Tyler Henderson.”

“It felt great to show what I can do. I’ve always had this in me since I was a kid, and I know that I’m one of the best wide receivers in the state,” Henderson remarked.

While Henderson is averaging over 100 receiving yards per game, this isn’t surprising to many. He was part of the Little Six Championship team as an eighth-grader in 2019. Since then, he has established himself as a dedicated athlete committed to securing victories for his team.

Vicksburg High will celebrate homecoming this Friday, hosting Yazoo County. Henderson is anticipated to deliver another stellar performance.
